DVSA Approved Class 4, 5 & 7 MOT centre

We are a DVSA approved MOT centre perfectly suited to test class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles. The MOT test is a safety inspection to determine your vehicles general road worthiness to DVSA’s specified minimum standards. To ensure compliance, J & M Morgan have proven to met the standards set out by the DVSA, demonstrating that our staff, equipment and our environment ensures safe and compliant testing.

Unlike many facilities our depot has been sourced and equipped to handle large vehicles, this means we’re especially suited to carry out class 7 MOTs on light commercial vehicles and vans.

During the MOT test, our DVSA accredited technician will conduct a thorough inspection to ensure your vehicle is safe and in roadworthy condition. It’s worth highlighting, that an MOT is not the same as having your vehicle serviced and is not designed to negate the need for regular vehicle maintenance. The MOT is based on the condition of the vehicle on the day, passing an MOT does not guarantee the legality tyres 6 months later, for example.

If your vehicle passes, our technician will provide an MOT pass certificate, and will also update your records online with the DVSA. We will also provide a list to inform you of any ‘minor’ elements that will require attention soon.

If your vehicle fails, you will receive a list of the ‘major’ or ‘dangerous’ faults. Rest assured that our facility is equipped to deal with any fault, and will strive to complete any necessary repairs, however our advisors will always make you aware of costs prior to commencing work. You also have the option to remove the vehicle and repair elsewhere, however attention will be drawn to you knowingly taking your vehicle away with defects.
